Viking Pump: Keeps your processes flowing smoothly
Viking Pump was first created by a unique pumping principle invented by Jens Nielsen back in 1904. When water seepage and liquid control became a problem, he made the first Rotary Internal Gear pump to drain the quarry. A patent application was submitted in the same year.
The original building which was used by two employees, and was leased from a washing machine manufacturer, is today incorporated into the 154,000 square foot downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa headquarters.
Viking pumps are defined as positive displacement pumps that remove a fixed quantity of liquid with each revolution of the pump by moving liquid between the pump elements and a stationary casing. Since 1911, Viking Pump has been the leading innovator and solutions provider for positive displacement pump applications around the world.
Viking pumps are used in many universal industries and markets today, from chemicals, oils and plastics, to substances that are thin, thick, hot, cold, liquid, solid, and much more.
Viking is building on ever-growing expertise to provide innovative pumping solutions to customers and industries all over the world who use millions of Viking pumps in some of the world’s toughest applications.
